Do you want a better mom life? Do you want to give your loved ones your all and still find room to breathe and pursue your own dreams and passion?
But:
- Your budget gets out of control so easily
- You don’t know WHEN the heck to get it all done
- You don’t have a cleaning lady to come over
- Your family does not live next door to step in and help with the kids
- You don’t even know where to get started
I got you!
Been there. Some time ago, I found myself in a dark place. Broke, disillusioned, out of control anxiety. I was feeling helpless and alone.
I wanted to leave this gloomy place and not let a lack of resources get in my way. Life is too precious! But I didn’t know how!
Then, one day, I found a cute little printable online. I was amazed someone created it and gave it away for free! It was a to-do-list with candy canes and unfortunataly, I can’t find it any longer. (But stay tuned to download a similar one for free.)
I printed it and started using it. All of a sudden, there was hope. I had made a mini plan and accomplished something.
Today, I’m passionate about sharing with you all that I have learned in the last exciting years to create a beautiful life with simple means.
That doesn’t mean I have it all figured out!
I still struggle at times, I can’t take pin-worthy pictures of our dinner on any given day, and I hide my unbathed hair in woolen beanies more often than I care to admit.
But I have found some ways to make mom life a little easier.
Does simple and easy sound good to you?
This blog is for you! I’ll show you how to use what you have to create a life you love.
Are we game? Cool!
What this blog can do for you

It does get easier with the right hacks. I’m all about making your mom life more relaxed by providing easy to follow instructions and fresh ideas to streamline things and breathe easier. You will get more done with less stress and finally feel like YOU CAN DO IT!
You don’t have to go to Africa. Instead, enjoy this blog and learn from my experiences to manage your home better with the means you already have.

If I told you I was a Ph.D. leaving a promising career in science to live in Morocco in financial straits, earning less than 3 Dollars per hour and loving it, would you believe me?
And yet, this is what I did.
The years to come were tough, instructional, full of real-life experiences, joy, and setbacks. I wanted to make the most out of life with whatever means I have to my hands.
What made me a passionate mom blogger?
I now live in the Ruhr district where I was born. So, you probably know by now, that English is not my native language and I apologize for all the little mistakes and big fat blunders. Sorry!
I’m a mom of a little girl, wife, writer, food lover, and servant of God. I am a German Muslim and I have a happy and diverse family of Moroccan and German origin that lives in several countries.
Let’s go to Africa
In 2009, after graduation, my husband and I decided to go to Morocco and live there happily ever after. We had to get by with one average Moroccan salary of 600 $ a month and that what I was making on the side. I worked as a teacher for German and freelance writer (starting with Textbroker).

Moroccan Grandma’s House
A homemaker is born
In addition to fighting with the budget, I had to learn homemaking and cooking from scratch. I needed to learn fast because I just would not find all that convenient stuff in the stores that I used in Germany. Unfortunately, I was not prepared or experienced at all. I read the cookbooks I had brought with me over and over again and browsed the web for hours. I learned to clean a filthy bathtub with simple means, to make my own mozzarella or use old flatbread in about a million ways.
And I learned that whatever your situation is, you can always do something.
You want to learn something new to try right now? Go ahead then…
Back to Germany
Well, happily ever after lasted three years. Then, we decided to go back to Germany. But I wanted to share all that I have learned and finally decided to do it in a blog – this blog. And maybe one day, if it is God’s will, we will go back and live happily in that beautiful sunny country again.
The pillars of my life
I am a committed wife and mother. I truly believe that God has given me my husband and we are parts of one soul. In 2014 our daughter was born and despite a stressful first year, she is our joy in life.
My life is around my family and based on my belief in God. I just love to eat and actually I only cook every day to have a delicious dinner to share with my loved ones.
Things I love
I love the magic of every new beginning. Craft something out of nothing. Like a piece of text. When I’m not writing, I read or cook. In addition to that, I love the sun, sweet treats and sitting in a café.

Some random facts

I do love coffee. The idea of a fresh coffee is what gets me out of bed each day. My favorite way to drink coffee is hot, black, no sugar. When the weather is hot and when my little one was still small(er) I love Iced Coffee, too.
I start most days with the typical German breakfast: cold. Most often bread and butter. And cheese! I love cheese!
I’m rather shy. The critic I heard most often in my life, starting in preschool, is that I should start to use my elbows.
I am an ailurophile and just learned that word today browsing Pinterest. 🙂 I brought my cat from Morocco. He will be my one and only cat as I have a one cat per lifetime policy.

My favorite blog is Living well, spending less. I always dreamed of a website of my own and when I found this blog, it clicked. That was what I wanted! *LOVE*
